An International Scientific-Practical Conference “Tourism in Fergana Valley: Creation of a New Tourist Center Akhsikent” was held within the framework of the 62nd International Flower Festival in Namangan.
It was attended by historians and specialists from several countries, as well as media workers.
Namangan region’s Hokim Shavkat Abdurazzokov noted that the conference would serve as a platform for new ideas and solutions.
“Our region has a rich history, unique cultural heritage, and natural resources”, the region’s Hokim said. – Their effective use will increase the volume of tourist services several times. The development of the tourism sector as the main driver of the region's economy will create new jobs, improve the standard of people’s living, and attract the international community’s attention to the region.
The region’s Hokim discussed cooperation issues in tourism, service, and language training with foreign guests.
At the event, the participants visited a youth library in Davlatabad district, Akhsikent Archaeological Complex, and the “Akhsi Sayyidlari” Scientific-Educational Architectural Complex.
