The Deputy Director of the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Khujayev met with the Director of the Azerbaijan Film Agency Orhan Fikretoglu.

At the meeting, the cooperation between the two countries was highly assessed, and issues to be resolved jointly in the future were discussed.

The parties discussed prospects for joint production of the “Maksud Sheikhzadeh” feature film.

Representatives of Azerbaijan were invited to this year’s Tashkent International Film Festival. To further develop ties in culture and become more familiar with each other’s customs and traditions, the issue of organizing the screening of national films in both countries was considered.

At the meeting, the Azerbaijani side proposed making a documentary film glorifying the friendship between the two countries. It was decided to view the filming locations during a visit to the 16th Tashkent International Film Festival.

In addition, an agreement was reached on the participation of Uzbekistan youth in the student festival, which is planned to be held for the first time in Shusha, Azerbaijan.
