The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque, visited Syrdarya region.

A meeting was held at the regional Hokimiyat with the Hokim of Syrdarya region, Erkinjon Turdimov. The parties discussed expanding interregional cooperation, implementing investment projects, and strengthening trade and economic ties. The sides also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in education.

In Gulistan, the Ambassador visited Secondary School No. 15.

Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, two specialists from France have been invited to help improve the quality of French-language instruction and enhance students’ proficiency.

The Ambassador spoke with 11th-grade students, who demonstrated their knowledge of French. The Ambassador highly praised the young people’s interest in French, their ability to conduct conversations fluently, and wished them success in their studies.
