Heraklion hosts Junior World Weightlifting Championships.

Athletes from 61 countries are participating in the championship. Uzbekistan is represented by 6 weightlifters.

Jamila Panfilova, competing in the weight category of 55 kilograms, completed her performance with two bronze medals. Uzbekistan’s Ogabek Tukhtayev will compete for medals.

President of the Hellenic Weightlifting Federation, three-time Olympic Games winner Pyrros Dimas and the Deputy Minister of Sports Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Chairman of the Weightlifting Federation Shakhrulla Mahmudov exchanged memorable gifts and discussed further development of cooperation in sports.
