A working meeting was held in Tashkent, with the participation of the heads of the energy and water management sectors of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. The parties discussed strengthening cooperation in the sector and ensuring system stability during seasonal peak loads.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, the Minister of Water Resources Shavkat Khamrayev, the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaibek Ibraev, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Akkenzhenov, and the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma. In addition, heads of energy companies and responsible specialists from the four countries participated in the negotiations.


The participants comprehensively reviewed measures to ensure a smooth passage through the current autumn-winter season, maintain the stable, uninterrupted operation of water and energy systems during the vegetation period, and further deepen cooperation. According to the ministry, the parties reached an agreement on coordinated schedules for the networks’ operating modes.
