Issues of bringing cooperation between Central Asian countries in sports to a new level, in particular, the implementation of promising projects of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in physical education and sports, and the organization of joint educational and training camps, were considered at the meeting of the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov.

Ambassador Beibut Atamkulov appreciated the significant success achieved in Uzbekistan due to systematic work on the development of mass sports and noted the rapid growth of sports such as rowing, chess, hockey, boxing, and martial arts.

The parties discussed the participation of the Uzbekistan delegation in the World Nomad Games in Kazakhstan. Several agreements were reached on further developing cooperation in sports, holding joint sports events and training camps, and strengthening interaction between the universities of the two countries.
