Deputy Minister of Justice of Uzbekistan Alisher Karimov met with the Vice-Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China Hu Weilie.

Mr. Karimov informed the guests about the provision of legal services to the population and the latest reforms in the sphere. A discussion took place on cooperation in justice and law.

Mr. Hu Weilie highly appreciated the success achieved in Uzbekistan and noted the main tasks and functions of the Chinese Ministry of Justice.

The meeting participants emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and China have reached a new level and are developing in different areas.

A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in legal services was signed between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China.

The parties, in their pursuit of comprehensive legal cooperation, agreed to collaborate in a wide range of areas including legal and notarial activities, arbitration and commercial mediation, provision of legal assistance, and forensic medical examinations.
