During the 5th Forum of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions of Uzbekistan and Japan, held in Samarkand, the Rector of Bukhara State University, Doctor of Economics and Professor Obidjon Khamidov, met with a delegation led by Haruo Saburi, Rector of Nagoya University of Economics.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation between the two universities. In particular, given the tourism potential of Bukhara and Nagoya, the parties explored opportunities to implement joint programs in tourism and economics, organize Japanese-language interpreter training courses, and conduct academic exchanges, as well as joint scientific research and publications.
