A delegation of officials and businesspeople led by the leadership of the city of Kashgar of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China reached an agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation in Fergana region.

Hokim of the region Khayrullo Bozorov received the guests. The parties discussed issues of enhancing large-scale interregional cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural, transport and logistics, tourism and other areas.

It was noted that regular meetings and the political will of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of China Xi Jinping brought the strategic partnership to a qualitatively new stage. Relations between the two countries are consistently developing in all areas.

Entrepreneurs from Kashgar made several investment proposals at the meeting. In particular, proposals to organize a large enterprise for the production of mixed and dyed fabrics in the region, build 25-story high-rise buildings in the eco-city, create electric vehicle service centers and a network of filling stations in the region were approved by the Regional Hokim.

It was noted that the establishment of direct air and bus flights between Fergana and Kashgar will contribute to the intensification of cooperation between the two territories, tourist and business exchange. An agreement was reached on the bilateral study of the issue of establishing flights.
