Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan develops
13:27 / 2026-02-12

The Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan is systematically working to organize training for Uzbekistan citizens in foreign languages and in-demand professions, and to promote their employment in high-paying, decent jobs abroad.

These issues were discussed during meetings held during the recent visit of the heads of Japanese companies Joho Venture Cooperative and Orange to Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the leadership of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh attended the events. The parties discussed in detail the prospects for cooperation. Following negotiations between Orange and Karakalpak State University, a memorandum was signed to establish a center for teaching the Japanese language and professional skills. The educational process at the center will be organized free of charge, and highly qualified specialists from Japan will be involved in teaching.

As part of implementing these initiatives, Orange Karakalpakstan has obtained state registration in accordance with the established procedure. It will be responsible for organizing the center’s activities and coordinating personnel training processes.

Negotiations are also underway to establish a similar center in Jizzakh region.
