Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Susan Kleebank, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

At the meeting with the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Sodiq Safoyev, relations between Uzbekistan and Brazil and prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed. High appreciation was expressed for the large-scale reforms underway in the country, economic development, the investment climate, and the potential of human resources. Particular attention was paid to political consultations, trade and economic cooperation, investment, and coordination on environmental protection. An exchange of views also took place on the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group with Brazil established in the Oliy Majlis, as well as on cooperation to develop a friendship group with Uzbekistan in the Brazilian Parliament.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify inter-parliamentary cooperation, hold online meetings among members of parliament, and organize a visit by a delegation from the Brazilian National Congress to Uzbekistan.
