Sambists of Uzbekistan won the US Open SAMBO Championships.

Muhammadnozim Shukurov won the gold medal, and Elyor Serikbayev won the silver medal.

Sambists from Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the United States and Uzbekistan participated in the championships, in New Jersey.

The parties discussed joint training camps for athletes of the two countries, as well as further plans. An agreement was reached to ensure the participation of sambists in tournaments organized in both countries.
