A delegation of officials and businesspeople led by the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee of the Republic of Belarus Ivan Krupko visited Fergana region on a three-day working visit.

The main official events took place at the Reception House of the Regional Hokimiyat in Fergana region.

During the meeting, issues of enhancing interregional practical cooperation in trade, economic, investment, social, cultural, tourism, and many other areas were discussed.

At the proposal of the Regional Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, the production of modern agricultural machinery will be established in the region in cooperation with the large Belarusian plant Gomselmash.

An agreement was also reached on cooperation between the two regions in vocational and higher education, the introduction in Fergana of the innovative experience of Gomel region, including simulation centers for training qualified specialists for regional industrial enterprises.

At the meeting, the prospects for creating a joint furniture production in the region and establishing direct supplies of purebred cattle from Gomel region were discussed.

Following the meeting, an Action Plan for 2024-2025 was signed to implement agreements reached between the Hokimiyat of Fergana region and the Gomel Regional Executive Committee in trade, economic, scientific, technical, social, humanitarian, and other spheres. An Agreement of Cooperation between the free economic zones of the two regions was also signed.

Members of the Belarusian delegation got acquainted with the exhibition of products manufactured in the region, products of national crafts, organized at the Theater and Concert Palace named after Islam Karimov.

The process of familiarization with the exhibition continued with B2B meetings.

Members of the delegation also visited the Global Textile in Qushtepa district, the enterprises Merfen and Tween Shoes in the Youth Industrial and Entrepreneurial Zone in Margilan, as well as the enterprises Oltin Vodiy, il-Home, and toured the Center of Artisans, which is one of the main tourist places in the city of Margilan.
