The International Institute for Central Asia organized a roundtable discussion.

It was attended by the President of Shaanxi Normal University You Xuqun, Vice President Ren Xiaowei, and other responsible officials.

The upcoming meeting of foreign ministers in the format “Central Asia – the People’s Republic of China” to be held in Xi’an on May 11-12 this year will serve to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in the region.

President of Shaanxi Normal University You Xuqun noted the key role of Uzbekistan in the region and deep historical, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between China and Uzbekistan. He emphasized that cooperation between the two structures fully meets the spirit of Uzbekistan – China interaction.

The parties discussed the prospects for establishing cooperation between IICA and the Shaanxi Normal University, concrete measures were outlined. The possibilities of holding joint events both in bilateral and multilateral formats with the participation of representatives of all Central Asian countries were considered.
