A resolution of the President of Uzbekistan was adopted on additional social and material support for medical workers, employees of sanitary-epidemiological service and others who are struggling with coronavirus infection.

In this difficult situation, the unanimity and generosity inherent in our people are manifested even more. Funds are being received in “O’zbekiston mehr-shafqat va salomatlik” public foundation.

Employees of the National Center for Human Rights and the editorial board of the journal “Democratization and Human Rights” also contributed to this good cause and voluntarily transferred funds to this foundation as gratuitous assistance.

As the Head of the state noted, “the coronavirus pandemic is a test sent by the Almighty to all of humanity”. We will defeat this pandemic only through the joint efforts of each of us, the society and the state and the whole world.
