Consumers International has proposed holding the 2027 Global Congress in Uzbekistan.
The Federation of Societies on Consumer Rights Protection of Uzbekistan has been a full member of Consumers International since 2018. This demonstrates that the country’s consumer movement is recognized internationally and that national organizations have actively participated in shaping the global agenda.
The Global Congress is the most prestigious international forum in consumer rights protection, where discussions focus on product and service safety, fair markets, consumer interests in the digital economy, and the rights of young people and low-income groups.
Holding this Congress in Uzbekistan once again confirms its complete alignment with the principles advanced by Shavkat Mirziyoyev to develop civil society, strengthen the role of non-governmental organizations, and place human interests at the center of state policy.
The Congress will create broad opportunities for the country to adopt advanced international practices in consumer rights protection, further strengthen the capacity of non-governmental organizations, and position Uzbekistan as a regional leader in this area.
Holding the Consumers International Congress in Uzbekistan is a logical and historic outcome of achievements in consumer rights protection, the trust expressed by the country’s leadership in non-governmental organizations, and Uzbekistan’s active participation in the international consumer movement.
