At the meeting, chairman of the Uzbekistan Federation of Consumer Rights Protection Societies J.Sarimsokov noted that consumer rights protection and raising consumer awareness of the population are important tasks.

Currently, 14 territorial associations, 195 district (city) societies of consumer rights protection are operating in the system of the federation. They employ 1 thousand 175 people. 2 thousand 35 reference groups are formed at enterprises, organizations, institutions and educational establishments. The total number of federation members exceeds 536 thousand 422.

Reports of the chairmen of the Federation of Consumer Rights Protection Societies of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Samarkand and Jizzakh regional territorial associations were heard at the meeting of the Council.
