Construction issues of Hyundai automobile plant in Namangan discussed
Hokim of Namangan region Khayrullo Bozorov has met with the Executive Vice President of Korea Uzbekistan Business Association, Kim Chang Keon, in the city of Namangan.
Hokim of Namangan region Khayrullo Bozorov has met with the Executive Vice President of Korea Uzbekistan Business Association (KUBA) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea, Kim Chang Keon, in the city of Namangan.
At the meeting, agreements were discussed and reached on further practical stages of implementing the project for construction of a plant for production of commercial vehicles “Hyundai” in Namangan Free Economic Zone. It was noted that the project is scheduled to begin by the end of October 2020 as the South Korean company Hyundai Motors decides the technical parameters of the investment project.
The delegation also visited the territory allocated for construction of the automobile plant. Views were exchanged on promising joint projects aimed at localizing parts and components for commercial vehicles, including with the involvement of member companies of Korea Uzbekistan Business Association.
