Our compatriots are not indifferent to ongoing constitutional reforms. At the same time, we must answer the question, what will these reforms give the people?
“Three important aspects should be paid attention to”, says Eshmuhammad Qodirov, professor at Tashkent State University of Law. – First of all, constitutional reforms are an opportunity to monitor the current Constitution, to intensify participation in the reforms not only of officials, but also of ordinary citizens. This will become the basis for assessing the real significance of the Basic Law in our lives.
The second aspect is that the reforms will contribute to the creation of appropriate legal mechanisms for the implementation of democratic ideas. An example of this is the transfer to the parliament of certain powers of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The third aspect is the imposition of responsibility on many state bodies will serve to form legal mechanisms for the implementation by officials of the rights, freedoms, legitimate interests of a person and the practical implementation of constitutional foundations.
