On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, an event was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul with the participation of compatriots living in South Korea.
At the event, the meaning, place, and role of the Constitution of Uzbekistan in the development of society was discussed. It was noted that the renewed Constitution, adopted following the national referendum on April 30 this year, became a solid legal basis for building a New Uzbekistan.
The Constitution, updated by 65%, established norms regarding the state’s obligations in the social sphere – their number has tripled. It also strengthened the foundations for the stable development of statehood, socio-political, socio-economic, and legal spheres.
It was emphasized that the unconditional implementation of the constitutional norms defined in the renewed Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan would enhance human dignity based on the principle of “man – society – state”.
The participants agreed that the Constitution of Uzbekistan reflects the will and culture of the people. Thanks to the implementation of the principles enshrined in it, people’s standard of living is improving, and the image and place of the country on the world stage are entirely changing, which makes all Uzbekistan citizens proud.
