The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a literary and educational event on “The role of Alisher Navoi’s literary and scientific legacy in strengthening interethnic relations”.
This year marks the 584th anniversary of Alisher Navoi’s birth – an unparalleled thinker, prominent statesman, and public figure who made an invaluable contribution to the country’s prosperity, the well-being of the people, and the development of spirituality and culture. He is renowned worldwide as an advocate of friendship and justice.

The occasion is widely celebrated across the country, with literature, spirituality, science, education, and friendship days, along with various other events, being organized nationwide.
Chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries, R. Kurbanov, emphasized that a deep study of Navoi’s legacy plays a special role in the spiritual development of every compatriot.

As is well known, the creative minds of Turkic peoples have drawn inspiration from his works to create their own, as the noble ideas championed by our great ancestor – such as humanity, compassion, spiritual purity, justice, friendship, and harmony – remain relevant in all eras.
The central part of the event consisted of lectures on Navoi’s life and works. Speakers highlighted his invaluable contribution to the development of the Uzbek language and literature and the significance of his creative heritage in educating the younger generation.
