The State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the project of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan for the research and preservation of heritage “Tashkent Modernism XX-XXI”, a conference was held on “Where in the World is Tashkent”.

The famous Dutch architect and partner of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), Rem Koolhaas, made the key report.

Drawing on a series of case studies and recent work by OMA, he shared his ideas about the future of historic preservation.

The conference aims to exchange experiences and ideas at the international level to implement a comprehensive strategy for preserving the city’s architectural heritage.
