Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan has held a videoconference with the Chief Operating Officer of Pakistan’s Serene Air, Khalid Bashir.

From the Uzbek side, the event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Ulugbek Azamov, Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriyev, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs Muzaffar Kamilov.

Technical issues of conducting charter flights between Islamabad and Tashkent within the framework of promoting pilgrimage tourism to Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting.

The parties considered the issues of increasing the frequency of flights of Uzbekistan airlines to Pakistan, in particular the opening of Tashkent – Islamabad – Tashkent route.

At the meeting, the prospects for the implementation of cargo flights to/from Pakistan were also discussed. The participants agreed on prospects for enhancing the geography of flights.

The issue of tourism development within the framework of ziyorat tourism in the post-pandemic period was also an important agenda of the meeting.
