As previously reported, Tashkent hosts Uzbekistan – United States Health Week.

For a week, experienced specialists from the United States were at the National Children’s Medical Center, where they performed complex surgical operations. 18 American doctors, including cardiologists, resuscitators, and anesthesiologists from the prestigious University of Tennessee (USA), conduct surgeries and masterclasses with the center’s specialists.

National Children’s Medical Center has achieved great success in pediatric cardiac surgery. In particular, common heart defects in young patients are eliminated by a minimally invasive vein penetrating. It is planned to apply these methods with U.S. specialists when performing complex types of surgical operations.

At the National Children’s Medical Center, Uzbekistan and American specialists will perform high-tech operations on 25 children suffering from cardiovascular diseases. Among them are babies who are only one month old.
