The Committee for Roads hosted a meeting with representatives of the assessment mission of the Asian Development Bank.

The Chairman of the Committee, Jamshid Tursunov, held talks on the terms of financing within the framework of the project “Construction of internal roads with cement concrete pavement”.

It is noted that the agreement is valid for 25 years, of which 5 years are a grace period. The project is financed based on a soft loan. Savings of $40 million are achieved by reducing mandatory fees. Following the talks, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the parties.

An industry representative Pawan Karki, who effectively collaborated with the Committee in the implementation of some projects with the participation of the Asian Development Bank, including the projects “Reconstruction of 581-673 and 673-698 km of the A-380 “Guzar – Bukhara – Nukus – Beinau” highway, and made a significant contribution to the development of the road infrastructure of the country, was presented with memorable gifts in connection with the completion of his term of office.
