Neighbourhood citizens gatherings’ commissions have a big role in thoroughly studying the socio-moral atmosphere in neighbourhoods and families, giving proper education to young people and finding sensible solutions to people’s topical issues through a reasonable approach to them.

In localities, training seminars are being arranged by the republican Mahalla (neighbourhood) public charity foundation and its partners. These seminars concentrate on making sure that these commissions’ work is consonant with the spirit of the current era.

Such a training seminar has taken place in Yashnobod district of the capital city.

It was said at the seminar that at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special attention was paid to further raising neighbourhoods’ status and role in the life of the country’s society and making their work more effective.

In neighbourhoods, public commissions are working on morality, enlightenment and social issues, youths and sport, the development of entrepreneurship and family businesses, ecology and environmental protection, landscaping and improvement, public monitoring and the protection of consumer rights.

“Working groups set up in our neighbourhood have thoroughly studied the atmosphere in families. Topical issues have been examined in cooperation with nearly 30 enterprises, family polyclinic No 27, general education school No 156 and pre-school day care establishments No 416 and No 129, and solutions are being found to these issues in a timely manner,” says Bahrom Hudoyorov, chairman of the “Yangi Davr” neighbourhood citizens gathering in Yashnobod district.

At the training seminar, there was also discussion about the 2017-2021 Action Strategy on five priority areas of the development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the significance of laws on measures to further improve the institution of neighbourhood and priority tasks of public commissions.
