The general contractor for the construction is the Spanish company Intecsa Ingenieria Industrial S.A. and the Japanese company Mitsubishi Corporation. The Turkish company Çalik Enerji specialists are also involved in the construction work.
1,684 specialists, including 1,500 local workers, are constructing combined cycle gas plants No.4-5 with a total capacity of 1,065 MW.
The commissioning of these combined cycle gas plants, which are planned to be connected to the Unified Energy System in 2025, will allow the enterprise to produce an additional 8.5 billion kWh of electricity per year. Using highly efficient technologies will also save 600 million cubic meters of natural gas annually.
To date, work on reinforcing and concreting the foundations of steam turbines has been completed.
