Combating illicit trafficking in cultural property
UNESCO is holding a regional workshop on: “Fighting Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Property in Central Asia and Afghanistan: Regional Workshop for Law Enforcement, Judiciary and Cultural Professionals”.
It is attended by law enforcement and judicial officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Afghan participants living in Europe.
The workshop, organized in cooperation with Interpol, the World Customs Organization, and the International Council of Museums, aims to develop regional cooperation by creating a network facilitating the exchange of information and coordination of actions to seize illegally sold cultural property.

It should be noted that this training will serve as an essential step in raising the fight against illicit trafficking in cultural property to a new level and preventing theft and forgery.
