The National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi was founded in 1870.

The library is the main state treasury of domestic and foreign literature, the center of scientific and methodological work in librarianship, bibliographic and library science. All conditions for serving readers at the level of world standards are created here.

The library stores ancient and unique manuscripts, books, various literature and modern periodicals.

On the occasion of Press and Media Workers Day, we would like to draw your attention to a collection of photographs from newspapers and magazines stored in the library and published several years ago.
