Collaboration with states and international organizations will develop, and a peaceful foreign policy will continue
16:37 / 2023-07-20

At a joint meeting of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev once again drew attention to the essential tasks he mentioned during meetings with voters.

That is, the most urgent tasks facing us are raising the standard of living of our people to a new stage and the consistent continuation of a peaceful foreign policy aimed at developing bilateral and multifaceted relations with other countries and international organizations.

It is no secret that New Uzbekistan has appeared before the world over the past seven years in a new guise. The attitude of foreign countries and international organizations towards our country has changed.

Our positions in international rankings and indices have strengthened. Our friendly relations with neighbors have reached a new level. Representatives of fraternal peoples cross borders easily, without difficulty, and visit each other.

The current era requires bringing work in these areas to a new level. Therefore, during the inauguration ceremony, the President once again stressed the need for continuing work in this direction. At the same time, he emphasized developing friendly relations and cooperation with far and near countries in all areas.

It is known that today the situation in the world is challenging. We are all witnesses of various contradictions and conflicts. A natural question arises, how should Uzbekistan act in such a situation? As the Head of our state clearly and categorically stated, our primary goal is to strengthen further the state independence, inviolability of borders, and territorial integrity of Uzbekistan. Because for any country, for any people, peace and tranquility is the most invaluable blessing.

So, what do we need to do to achieve this huge goal?

Tasks in this direction were also clearly defined.

First, the task was set to provide our national army with the most modern weapons and military equipment by 2030 to increase further the power, defense capability, and military potential of our Armed Forces.

Second, today it is essential to increase the morale and potential of the troops, the training of highly qualified military personnel, and their social and legal protection.

Third, we are faced with turning military power and high spiritual potential into two powerful pillars of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.

Fourth, we must create the necessary conditions for the education of military personnel, our children studying in schools, technical schools, and higher education institutions, and all our youth as a whole, based on our history and the heritage of our ancestors.

At the meeting, the President also touched upon the issue of uniting the younger generation in the spirit of love and loyalty to the Motherland, respect for national and universal values. It is not difficult to understand how relevant this issue is in today’s turbulent times.

Noteworthy is that work in this direction will be carried out based on the special program.

Based on this, the attention paid to young people in our country will increase in the coming years. As a result, the youth, who are the masters of our future, will be able to express themselves in all aspects thoroughly. We are sure of it.
