Collaboration on securing women’s rights
A roundtable on implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women was held in Tashkent by the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, together with partner organizations.
A roundtable on implementation of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women was held in Tashkent by the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, together with partner organizations.
The event was attended by officials of relevant ministries and departments, women’s public organizations, international organizations.
At the event, organized in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the report on implementation of the rules of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women was discussed in detail.
At the event, expert conclusions on implementation of recommendations on elimination of all forms of discrimination against women’s rights and the main results of the National Action Plan were heard. Shortcomings in implementation of the National Action Plan were analyzed. Proposals and recommendations on their elimination were developed.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee T.Narbayeva addressed the event.
