Friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and China are strengthening.

Promising projects in mining and geological exploration are being implemented. The established relationship between the state-owned enterprise Navoiuran and the China National Nuclear Corporation will be an important step in the development of the uranium industry in Uzbekistan.

China National Nuclear Corporation is China’s only major uranium producer, with 22 operating power units and six under construction. Last November, representatives of Navoiuran visited China and met with the corporation’s leadership.

Members of the delegation led by the corporation’s Vice President, Shen Yanfeng, visited Navoiuran and became acquainted with the production activities of the second geotechnical mine at the Zafarabad Mining Department, a uranium production plant in Navoi.

It is planned to jointly exploit hydrothermal and black shale deposits and joint uranium mining.
