The working group led by the First Deputy Director General of Navoiuran State Enterprise – Chief Engineer Valijon Nazarov, visited France and the Republic of Niger.

The visit aims to study the methods introduced by Orano Mining for producing uranium, deposits, and exchange of experience.

Orano Mining is a permanent partner of the Navoiuran enterprise. Representatives of the company have visited the enterprise several times. The delegation of Navoiuran also took part in the dialogues at the company's representative office in Kazakhstan.

According to the enterprise, the working group got acquainted with the history of the promising uranium mine “Imouraren” in the Republic of Niger at the head office of Orano Mining in Paris. The joint development of promising deposits was discussed.

In the capital of the Republic of Niger, members of the delegation met with the Orano Mining leadership. Information was provided on promising projects implemented and planned by Orano Mining in the Republic of Niger. Then the representatives of the delegation visited the “Somair” and “Cominak” mines near the city of Arlit, got acquainted with the extraction of minerals carried out at the “Somair” uranium quarries, the activities of the plant operating on the methods of heap leaching of uranium, technical and technological processes.

Local specialists from Orano Mining informed on uranium mining technologies. Views and experiences were exchanged.
