The visit of a regional delegation led by the Hokim of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to enhance collaboration is yielding good results.

On the first day of the visit, negotiations were held with Dr. Eyad Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Care General Trading and Energy Solutions, which plans to implement several large investment projects in the region.

The strengthening cooperation between the two regions was discussed at the meeting, and views were exchanged on new joint projects.

The purpose of today’s visit of the regional delegation to this country is to sign final agreements on the new project. Kuwaiti entrepreneurs will support all projects implemented in Fergana.

During his visit to Kuwait, the Hokim of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, visited the Head Office of Kuwait Airways, where he met with Abdulmohsen Salem Alfagaan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of this national airline.

The issue of establishing regular direct flights from Kuwait to Fergana was discussed at the meeting. It was noted that the region is one of the leaders in attracting foreign and local tourists and in tourism infrastructure.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Airways Abdulmohsen Salem Alfagaan noted the attractiveness of establishing regular flights to Fergana. He said that planned work would be organized in this direction. He stated that revising the provisions of the current bilateral air services agreement between Uzbekistan and Kuwait based on current demand and level of cooperation would benefit both parties.

Based on the proposals voiced at the meeting, a joint working group was formed, and it was decided to develop practical measures and organize joint work.
