At the meeting, the priority tasks identified in the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis of December 28, 2018, in particular, reforming the management system of agricultural sector, rational use of land and water resources based on advanced technologies, ensuring food security were comprehensively discussed.

At the meeting, experts expressed views on development of grain growing and fruit-growing clusters, state support, simplifying the credit system, subsidizing expenses, and revising the procedure for granting land.

At the event, current tasks for widespread introduction of water-saving technologies in agriculture, revising the system for allocating land for agricultural purposes to diversified farms were considered. Information of specialists of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan on sanitary and epidemiological measures taken in the country on ensuring safety of food products was heard.
