CIS Unified Electronic Platform is being established to exchange legal information

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with relevant ministries and agencies, prepared a draft concept for the establishment of a unified electronic platform of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the exchange of information and sent it to the CIS Executive Committee for further improvement.

The meeting of the group of experts to agree on the draft concept was chaired by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan via videoconference.

The event, organized by the CIS Executive Committee, along with experts from the ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan, was attended by authorized representatives and experts from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, as well as the Executive Committee and CIS sectoral cooperation bodies.

The parties supported the draft concept and expressed a common opinion on the timeliness and expediency of creating a CIS Unified Electronic Platform for the exchange of legal information, which will allow the exchange of electronic documents in mutual legal assistance.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to present, at the next meeting of the expert group, specific proposals for further improving the draft concept, finalizing the document, taking into account the results of the discussions.
