Since the new academic year 2023/2024, a new direction – Cinematography, has been opened at the VGIK branch in Tashkent under the guidance of Doctor of Art History Nigora Karimova.

According to VGIK branch Director in Tashkent, Eldar Yuldashev, the program provides for training cinematographers, film historians, film critics, and film directors of film festivals. Applicants’ admission to the university has been extended until August 15.
