Tashkent hosted the National Forum of Cinematographers dedicated to implementing the tasks outlined in the President’s address at an extended meeting of the Republican Council on Spirituality and Enlightenment.

Director of the Cinematography Agency Firdavs Abdukhalikov noted that today’s tense and difficult times pose essential challenges for representatives of the cinematography industry.

A film from the “Living History” series was shown at the meeting.

Elections for the chairman of the Creative Union of Filmmakers took place. Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Matyakub Matchanov was elected by a majority of votes.

As part of the reporting conference, a concert was organized in the pavilion of the Uzbekfilm Concern.

Several cinematographers were awarded the “Selfless Cinematographer” badge.

Director of the Uzbekfilm Concern Bakhodir Odilov was recognized as the “Most Active Filmmaker of the Year.”
