Cinema town to be created in Uzbekistan

A meeting on “Development of the national film industry: historical traditions, problems, new artistic and targeted investments” is being held at the International Press Club.
What should be done to develop Uzbekistan film industry? The Director General of the National Agency “Uzbekkino” Furkat Zakirov gave the following answer to this question:
“We want to build a cinema town for development of Uzbekistan cinema. Special pavilions for cinema will be created in it. They will be permanent and will not be destroyed. The cinema town will reflect our national values, customs and history. Negotiations are being held with Tashkent city khokimiyat on this issue. The cinema town will be like USA’s Hollywood and India’s Bollywood”.
