China’s leading media – the Xinhua News Agency, the People’s Daily, Silk Road Review, Pseacher, widely covered the speech of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of June 20 on the issue of constitutional reform in Uzbekistan.

The media outline the main points of the speech of the President of Uzbekistan at the meeting with members of the Constitutional Commission on the formation of proposals for amending the country’s Basic Law. It is noted that the President of Uzbekistan revealed the main questions, why right now the country needs a constitutional reform and what it will give the people.

It is reported that so far the Constitutional Commission has received about 50,000 proposals from citizens, which once again confirms the vital need for constitutional reform.
