Chinese Foreign Minister announces China’s support for Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO
Following the visits to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi gave an interview to journalists.
According to China’s Xinhua News Agency, during Wang Yi’s visit to Uzbekistan, the sides agreed to use the consensus reached by the heads of the two states as a guide to deepen mutual political trust and strengthen the junction of development strategies, and make joint efforts to achieve the vision and goals building a community of common destiny between China and Uzbekistan, so that bilateral relations could build on past achievements and strive for new progress.
The sides agreed to promote quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, bring annual trade to $10 billion as soon as possible, and set new targets.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of China also announced China’s support for Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
