The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmanov met with representatives of the delegation led by the Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China Huai Jinpeng.

The prospects for bilateral cooperation in the agricultural and food sectors and preparation issues for the 9th annual conference of the Silk Road Alliance in Tashkent were discussed.

The meeting participants shared their views on effective, mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture, which has been developing in recent years based on the criteria of mutual trust and on the positive results of promising projects being implemented in the agricultural sector. The parties agreed to continue implementing various projects, as such events contribute to developing relations between Uzbekistan and China.

As part of the visit, the guests took part in the opening of the joint faculty of the Northwest A&F University of China and the Tashkent State Agrarian University.
