A project of the Chinese company Shandong Swan Cotton Industrial Machinery Stock has started in Fergana, which includes assembling cotton-picking machines, creating a service center to provide technical services, and organizing a training center for machine operators.
Representatives of the company’s leadership, district hokims, heads of clusters in Fergana and neighboring regions, and farmers attended the event dedicated to the project’s launch.

Mutual interest in cooperation between Uzbekistan and China helps to strengthen interregional investment attractiveness. Currently, 157 enterprises operate in Fergana region with the participation of Chinese capital.
At the event, it was noted that cotton harvesting machines could be purchased on a leasing basis for ten years with a 20 percent down payment, while cotton-textile clusters and farmers would receive a 15 percent subsidy.

At a meeting held in the regional hokimiyat with a group of specialists led by the Deputy Director of Shandong Swan Cotton Industrial Machinery Stock Li Zhantao, the parties reached an agreement to test grain harvesters produced by this company during this year’s harvest season.

The regional Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov and the Chairman of Uzagroleasing JSC Nodir Otajonov attended the project’s launch.
