Chinese company to extract oil in Afghanistan
The Afghan authorities and a Chinese company have signed an agreement on extracting oil from the Amu Darya basin.
Under the deal, the Chinese company will extract oil in a total area of 4,500 square kilometers in the northern provinces of Sari Pul, Jawzjan and Faryab.
According to the terms of the contract, the Chinese company must invest $150 million in the first year, and in three years the investment will reach $540 million.
