The Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Zokirov received a delegation of representatives from China State Construction Engineering Corporation.

During the meeting, a presentation of the company and its projects implemented in foreign countries took place.

The guests expressed interest in cooperation within the “New Tashkent” project’s framework and said they were exploring the possibilities of investing in it.

Following the meeting, Minister B. Zokirov told representatives of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation that the Directorate for Construction of New Tashkent was ready to assist and take the necessary measures in this direction.

It is worth noting that the new city will occupy about 20 thousand hectares in Yuqorichirchiq and Urtachirchiq districts of Tashkent region. As part of the “New Tashkent” project, comfortable living conditions for 1 million people and the corresponding infrastructure will be created on 20,000 hectares. Government institutions, buildings of the New Uzbekistan University, the National Library, theaters, art schools, shopping, and service centers will also be located here.
