The delegation of Tashkent region visited the city of Urumqi. Zoir Mirzayev met with businesspeople at the representative office of Tashkent region, which began work in the center of this province, and held several talks.

The parties agreed to establish practical cooperation in high technology, innovation, industry, energy, infrastructure development, transport, logistics, agriculture, tourism, and others.

The delegation of Tashkent region also got acquainted with the activities of the resort area located in the Tian Shan mountains near Urumqi. Agreements were reached on constructing a modern recreation center in Bostanlyk district. A visit of the Chinese delegation to Tashkent region in February this year has been agreed upon to get acquainted with the investment environment created in Uzbekistan and begin design work.

The initial investment cost of the project is estimated at $10 million. During the Uzbekistan – China Investment, Trade and Tourism Forum, a miniature model of the world-famous architectural monument – Registan, created in the central park of Urumqi, was also presented.

The head of the region, Zoir Mirzayev, delivered a speech at the forum’s opening ceremony and called for strengthening cooperation. Proposals from Chinese businesspeople to establish collaboration in various fields were also considered.
