China, Uzbekistan to publish a book

On May 27, Uzbekistan – China videoconference took place at the “Yuksalish” Nationwide Movement.

The parties discussed the draft publication of the joint book “The History of the Development of Friendly Relations between Uzbekistan and China”.

The event was organized by the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Gansu Academy of Social Sciences of the People’s Republic of China.

This book will reflect the historical ties and origins of the establishment of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as highlight the key aspects of political, economic, trade, cultural, scientific and educational ties and the prospects for further development of friendly relations between the two countries in the new era.

A work plan and the composition of the joint author group were approved at the event. Leading scientists from the Institute of History, the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhan Beruni of the Academy of Sciences and the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, the Institute of Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS) are participating in the project from the Uzbek side.

The project is also intended to highlight the multilateral interaction within the framework of the SCO and prospects for the development of friendly relations during the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.

The book will be presented in 2022 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and China.

The book will be published in Chinese, Uzbek, Russian and English. It will be distributed among partners, representative offices of foreign countries, specialized organizations, media representatives, scientific, educational and cultural institutions.
