On March 18 this year, a solemn online reception and a gala concert took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by about 200 people, including heads and representatives of ministries and agencies, higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and the media of the two countries.

In her speech, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms. Jiang Yan, paying attention to the future, highlighted such key areas as the exchange of experience in education, agriculture, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development.

During the online reception, the results of the event “TOP 30 events in China – Uzbekistan relations in 30 years”, jointly organized by the Embassy and the Podrobno.uz News Agency, were also announced.

“Relations between China and Uzbekistan have acquired a special, unprecedented meaning, rising to the highest level. Taking this opportunity, I would like to proudly note that ties between representatives of Uzbekistan and China intelligentsia in literature, art, culture, writers and poets, journalists are strengthening”, First Deputy Director General of Uzbekistan National News Agency Sobir Shukurov said.

Following the reception, all guests enjoyed the “Road to Spring” gala concert organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan in connection with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
