According to the agreement between the International Kurash Association, the Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania and the Organizing Committee of the Asian Games, the Asian Kurash Championships will be held in Hangzhou.

On April 25-29, it is planned to organize a workshop for international referees of the continental championship. In this regard, at the online meeting of representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Asian Games and members of the Executive Committee of the International Kurash Association, it was emphasized that the championship of the continent is an essential stage in preparation for the XIX Summer Asian Games. The participants discussed issues related to 15 weight categories for boys and girls, the number of participating athletes from each country, the system of workshops for judges.

XIX Summer Asian Games are scheduled for September 23 – October 8, 2023, Kurash Championships – for October 3-5.
