10:21 / 2023-10-07

In China, starting from October 1, the main public holiday is widely celebrated every year – the Founding Day of the People’s Republic of China. In 1949, on this day, the founding of the People’s Republic of China was announced at a demonstration held in Tiananmen Square in Beijing.

Celebrating the Chinese National Day for five days has become a good tradition. This week in China is called “Golden Week”. Folk festivities in the capital’s central square continue in the evening with magnificent fireworks.

These days, all cities in China are decorated with flowers. In people’s views, there is a sense of pride for their country. These days, filled with joy, can be compared to the celebration of Independence Day in Uzbekistan.

Tourism industry workers offer various programs for foreign guests and travelers who want to attend the holiday, indicating the country’s developed tourism sector.

China, a reliable partner of Uzbekistan, strives to increase the country’s attractiveness during the holidays by offering a rich cultural and educational program and organizing visits of heads of state and representatives of large institutions and companies.

Countries become attractive due to their prosperity and peace-loving people. People need peace and tranquility. Therefore, governments must protect the honor and dignity of their citizens and provide all opportunities and conditions for the population. The Chinese people managed to create a beautiful and powerful country.

Currently, Uzbekistan is also enhancing cooperation with the comprehensively developed China, which is in the spotlight of the world community.

A gala reception was held in Tashkent in connection with the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event, organized at the initiative of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, was attended by heads of foreign countries’ diplomatic missions, international organizations, and representatives of science, culture, and art. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov took part in the ceremony on behalf of the Government of Uzbekistan.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun noted that under the wise leadership of Chairman Xi Jinping and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, relations between China and Uzbekistan are developing at a high level. It was noted that both sides support each other on issues of mutual interest.

It should be noted that the two countries have a common approach to reforms, deepening the policy of openness, accelerating economic development, and improving people’s well-being. Both countries are taking joint decisive steps towards the goals envisaged by the Belt and Road Initiative. Most importantly, in recent years, China has become Uzbekistan’s largest trading partner and primary source of investment.

It is planned to increase the annual volume of bilateral trade by more than $10 billion. Achieving this indicator should ensure consistent cooperation in industry, energy, transport, agriculture, and many others. New frontiers are outlined in renewable energy, green development, and poverty reduction.

The Chinese Ambassador also noted with satisfaction that cooperation is effectively developing in the cultural and humanitarian sphere and confirmed that his country is interested in further developing traditional friendship and strategic partnership with Uzbekistan.

– China is ready to continue to cooperate closely with Uzbekistan and is diligently implementing essential agreements between the heads of the two states, – said Mr. Yu Jun. – Taking advantage of the historical moment, it is necessary to unite the Belt and Road Initiative with the idea of creating a New Uzbekistan at one point. This will contribute to achieving a wonderful future for our countries and peoples.

A festive and friendly atmosphere reigned during the reception, which lasted more than two hours. Guests learned about China’s success over the past ten years, watched a video about the development of bilateral relations, and viewed an exhibition of achievements of China – Uzbekistan practical cooperation within the framework of the joint implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative. Samples of Chinese classical music performed by the “Sugdiyona” folk orchestra and demonstrations of Chinese martial arts performed by Uzbekistan children delighted everyone.

In general, Uzbekistan fully supports the Global Security Initiative and the Global Development Initiative promoted by China to create new international relations and build a community with a shared future for humanity. This approach was especially evident during the National Day of the People’s Republic of China celebration.
